The Client is an Actuarial consulting firm that sells manuals for calculating Manual Claims costs. We converted a Lotus-based program that produces Manual Claims Cost for Medical, Dental, Aggregate, and Specific Stop Loss into Visual Basic applications. Yearly enhancements are made to the software. We combined the separate Visual Basic projects for Medical/Dental/Aggregate and Specific Stop Loss into one Visual Basic project. The application collects data input, applies predetermined factors from client provided data files, performs calculations, and produces reports on the outcomes. Reports may then be exported to Microsoft Word or Excel for further manual manipulation. |
